Company Overview
Heritage Flooring LLC, 29 Depot St. Buffalo, NY 14206, is a relatively new company, but our roots, and experience go back many years.
Founded in 1916 as Vulcan Asphalt Co. Inc. the company, and it's successors, have been actively in the business of furnishing and installing flooring materials ever since. Carpet, Resilient Flooring, Resinous (Epoxy), VCT, Sheet vinyl, Linoleum, etc.
In 1960, Vulcan Asphalt changed its name to Vulcan Floors, Inc. to better reflect our business. Vulcan did literally thousands of flooring jobs through the 60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s. Projects included Schools, Colleges, Hospitals, Office Buildings, Hotels, Gymnasiums, and Retail Stores, and Housing Developments throughout Western New York.
In 1997, Vulcan Floors Inc. was sold to Shaw Industries of Dalton Georgia. The entire management team, office staff, and installation employees became part of Shaw Contract Flooring, later called Spectra Contract Flooring. The Buffalo office was known as Spectra, Western New York.
We continued to be in the business of furnishing and installing flooring materials through out the Western New York area, and again, successfully completed thousands of projects not only in Western New York, but also across the State.
In December of 2005 we purchased the company from Shaw industries, and Heritage Contract Flooring was born, and continue our Heritage.
Over the years we also have been able to maintain relationships with some of the industry's top suppliers of material, including Armstrong Industries. Shaw Contract Group, Lee's Carpet, Roppe Rubber Products, and C&A Carpet to name just a few.
Our goal is to continue the company's history, and through hard work, honesty, integrity, and flooring knowledge, provide a service to our customers, and suppliers for many, many years to come.
